The California Wave will be conducting Bantam Tier skates for the 1996 birthyear level. These high end skates are designed to prepare the player for the upcoming Tier tryouts. Skates are open to all '96 AA/AAA skaters from this past season. Sessions cost $25.00.
Players should bring a light and dark colored jersey.

Dates and times are:
April 23rd: 8:15 to 9:15 pm
May 7th: 8:15 to 9:15 pm.

The California Wave will be conducting a series of tune-up skates for the Peewee Tier level. These skates are designed to introduce players to the AA Peewee environment by focusing on body checking, power skating, stick handling as well as participating in a full ice scrimmage. Michael Lewis and Bob Sipowich will be conducting these skates and they are open to all skaters in the 1997, 1998, and 1999 birth year levels. Cost of each session is $20. Times and dates are:
Thursday April 23rd @ 7 pm - 8 pm
Thursday May 7th @ 7 pm - 8 pm
Thursday May 21st @ 7 pm - 8 pm
Thursday June 4th @ 7 pm - 8 pm

Congratulations to our Midget Majors as they took 2nd place in the State Championships this past weekend. The Wave, Jr Kings, LA Selects and Jr Sharks all battled hard for a chance to earn a trip to the Pacific District Championships and in the end we salute our boys for their 2nd place finish and securing a spot in the Regional Finals. Best of luck to the team.

Congratulations to Matt Leitner who just received a Division I Scholarship to Minnesota State, Mankato. Matt is currently playing in the USHL for the Fargo Force and is leading the team in scoring. Before heading off to the Force, Matt played for the Wave from Mites to Midget AAA 18 and captained the team to a National Championship at the Midget AAA16 level. Great job Matt and we wish you nothing but the best for the upcoming years ahead.

Congratulations go out to our Peewee AA 96 team as they recently captured the 2008-2009 CAHA State Championship. We wish the team continued success as they are currently preparing for the USA Hockey Pacific District Championships in Seattle Washington. Great Job Boys are best of luck.
